The Sunday Monthly workshops at Eastern Groove are back!

You asked for it (honestly, the December workshop folks asked for it) and we'll deliver. Two hours of shimmies, shimmies, shimmies! Standing shimmies, walking shimmies, timed shimmies, layered shimmies, shoulder shimmies, twisting shimmies. All shimmies, all the time. Bring your water bottle and your stamina!
February 26: Tapping into the Dark--Dramatic Stylings for the Happy Dancer

Selected as a workshop at Waking Persephone in Providence, RI in April, this workshop is for the normally upbeat dancer who wants to tap into that darker part of herself and add a new dimension to her dancing, but isn't quite sure how to feel true to herself doing so. This isn't about dancing darkly for the sake of fitting into a particular show or genre and this isn't a workshop in gothic bellydance stylings. We will discuss that which inspires us towards the dramatic and each individual dancer will turn that inspiration into her own physical expression. Bring a notebook, pen, and water.
